About Yiru.

I study people and shape experience.

As a researcher and designer with foundations in psychology and information science, I’m curious about the small decisions, habits, and emotions that shape how people experience technology. I move between qualitative research, product thinking, and interface design to turn complex questions into grounded, usable experiences.

Outside product work, photography, theater, and art keep me attentive to gesture, atmosphere, and storytelling. Whether I’m interviewing users, shaping a flow, or photographing a live performance, I’m drawn to the same challenge: noticing what matters to people and making it visible.
